A Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and her favorite charity were honored with an award from Toyota of Cool Springs. Deputy Kortney Crigger, the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Brentwood Middle School, was named Deputy of the Month for April.

Deputy Crigger was given this award after she saved the life of a child who was choking during lunch at her school’s cafeteria. When Deputy Crigger saw the child in distress, unable to breathe or talk, she quickly performed the Heimlich maneuver and dislodged food from the child’s throat. Deputy Crigger is assigned to the Crime Prevention Division. She has been a WCSO Deputy for five years.

Toyota of Cool Springs General Sales Manager Kris Krabill presented a plaque to Deputy Crigger and Toyota of Cool Springs will donate a check for $150.00 to The American Heart Association in memory of former Brentwood Middle Coach Mickey Johnson who passed away recently.

Each month Toyota of Cool Springs will honor a WCSO deputy and a charity.
