Deputies Arrest Two Burglary Suspects After Pursuit

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested two Nashville men who tried to break into a storage building at a church early Tuesday morning and then led deputies on a pursuit into Rutherford County.

The pastor at Spring Meadow Baptist Church on Columbia Pike saw the suspects when he arrived at the church around 6:30 Tuesday morning. The two men took off in a stolen Penske truck when they saw the pastor.

A WCSO deputy spotted the truck on Mack Hatcher but the driver would not stop. The deputy followed the truck down Highway 96, I65 and 840 into Rutherford County where the pursuit ended. The suspects wrecked at a Murfreesboro intersection and ran from the truck. They were quickly apprehended by WCSO and Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Christopher Bohrer, 46, and Derrick White, 37, were taken for medical treatment and will be charged in Williamson County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash in Rutherford County.
