Deadline Approaching For Scholarship

For 2015, The Westhaven Foundation will be awarding two scholarships, both of which the Foundation is currently accepting applications for. The Fountain Scholarship, is for Westhaven residents only and The Lift Scholarship is open to all Williamson County residents. Each scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000.

Each scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school seniors for their exemplary service contributions to the community, who through their charitable works and volunteerism, demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and inspiring their peers. While not purely academic in nature, applicants must demonstrate potential for success in their education efforts. Secondary education plans may include college, vocational, technical, community college or other programs.

Applicants must graduate from high school in the 2014-2015 school year, and must demonstrate a clear path to attending a secondary education program as a freshman or first-year student. Students must also maintain an overall GPA of 2.70 or higher. Applications must be received by The Westhaven Foundation Scholarship Committee by May 10th, 2015.

The mission of the Westhaven Foundation is to support education excellence at all levels, from kindergarten to college. Another important mission is to foster volunteerism within Westhaven and Williamson County as a whole.

The Westhaven Foundation Scholarships reward young adults who have given a great deal of their time to helping others.
