Skyville Live (an online concert series) is hosting “Girls Just Wanna Have Friends” with Cyndi Lauper on January 28th. Joining her will be young country singer Kelsea Ballerini and indie-pop star Ingrid Michaelson.

Skyville Live was first launched in April of 2015. It is is filmed on a television sound stage that has very limited capacity.  Space is reserved for the crew and a few guests of the performers, with limited VIP tickets sold. However, you can stream the show live for free. For more information about Skyville Live, visit their website.

The eighties icon has also teamed up with Sire Records founder Seymour Stein to work on her latest album Detour, an album of classic country covers from the ’50s and ’60s that serves as a “companion album” to her 2010 Grammy-nominated blues album Memphis Blues, reports American Songwriter.

Joining Lauper on the Detour album is Willie Nelson. “I tried to be professional, but you know when you’re overwhelmed — when he came in, I almost cried,” Lauper told Entertainment Weekly.

We have no other hints who is on the album other than Elvis’ piano player-Tony Brown. More Entertainment Here
