CSCC Students Recognized at 49th Annual Honors Convocation

More than 120 Columbia State Community College students were celebrated May 1 when they were recognized and honored for excellence in academics, leadership and service at the 49th Annual Student Honors Convocation.

First row, left to right: Rebecca Parsons (Spring Hill) received a Student Service Award for being the president of the Beta Kappa Theta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa; Della Hopkins (Thompsons Station) received the Academic Discipline Award for Information Systems Technology: Information Systems Specialist and received an Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA; and Mindy Tatum (Fairview) received the Leadership Award for the Williamson Campus. Franklin residents not pictured: Ryan Carrigan received the Academic Discipline Award for Information Systems Technology: Computer Networking/Cyber Security; Krysten Haley received the Academic Discipline Award for Education; David Mikrut, Chandler Scheitlin and Quintin Scheitlin were recognized for Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges; Joshua Morris was recognized as a TRiO Student Support Services graduate; Jade Parker received the Academic Discipline Award for Speech Communication; Alexander White received an Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA; and Amy Wise received the Academic Discipline Award for Nursing and received an Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA.

Spring Hill residents not pictured: Ryan Cisco and Sarah Shedd were recognized for Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges; Meagan Pavol received an Academic Excellence Award for maintaining a 3.9-4.0 GPA.
