Craft Beer Market to Open in Franklin

The Knoxville based craft beer market, The Casual Pint, is expanding and will have a new locatione on Hillsboro Road in Franklin.

The Casual Pint is a place ‘where beer lovers meet’. They sell craft beer for takeout, in either bottle or Growler form. A bar area is available for patrons as well. The Casual Pint says its stores have a “prestigious yet casual atmosphere…..where you will find an abundance of American craft beers and unmatched variety from around the world.”

The Casual Pint has become the fastest growing craft brew franchise, with locations all across East Tennessee, including in the Knoxville and Chattanooga area. The new Franklin location will be the ninth store (the eighth location in Tennessee). Each franchise offers more than 400 bottled local, domestic, and international beers as well as an ever-changing 22 tap wall for take-home growlers and on-site tastings in a dedicated bar area. Local brewery, Turtle Anarchy, sells their ales at The Casual Pint in Chattanooga, so beer lovers can probably expect to see Anarchy ales at the new Casual Pint.

The father-son team of Nathan and Jon Robinette opened their first Casual Pint in 2011 in Knoxville. Just one year later, they were contracting a franchise system. The new Williamson County location is expected to be open in the spring. Owners, Ken and Kayla Franse plan to open more stores as middle Tennessee becomes more acquainted with the beer market in the coming months.
