CPA (5-0, 2-0) will remain undefeated after taking on district rival Page (1-3, 0-2) 52-16 last night.  The Patriots fell to the Lions to bring its overall record to 1-3.

Christ Presbyterian Academy started off the game strong with a TD just 9:01 into the game.  Junior JR Osborn showed off his talents by not only kicking for the extra point, but even putting the touchdown itself on the board.

Osborn showed up again to put the Lions up 10-0 against the Patriots with a 26-yard field goal and 6:37 left in the first.  CPA closed in on the first half with a 17-0 advantage and would keep the lead the remainder of the game.

Into the second half of the first, CPA secured 24 points on the board with a 29-yard touchdown pass to senior Thomas Richard.  Senior and quarterback Zak Mizell sailed one right into sophomore Trevor Johnson as Page answered back with six-points on the board and a little over seven minutes left in the half.

Going into halftime, a field goal attempt and another TD shot in by Mizell to senior Mason Smith would give Page 16 points on the board for the remainder of the night.

The Lions didn’t waste time going into the second half.  A TD would soon lead to two more within six minutes and bring the score 45-16 with just a little over three minutes left in the third.

Sophomore Zack Weatherly sailed a pass into Osborn, who brought CPA up by 52 points, not even out of the third quarter.

An undefeated CPA will carry on to Vanderbilt next Thursday to take on Milan High School (1-4, Division 1 Class AA District 13) at 7 p.m.

Page will remain at home again next week against Forrest (3-2, Division 1 Class A District 9) next Friday in hopes of another “W”.

The Williamson Source will be out at Vanderbilt next Thursday and keep you updated on the game to see if CPA can remain undefeated and go 6-0.  Friday we will have out live-score board on our Football Central Homepage and have all of your current Page scores for that game, as well.
