They say that Lions are the king of the jungle. Well it must be true, because the CPA lions are undefeated and dominating the turf.

Christ Presbyterian Academy will take on Page, after defeating Maplewood (1-2) at home last week 42-20. CPA gained about 500 yards offensively last game and will be a tough opponent in the match-ups ahead.

Page High School will be traveling back home after a bye-week this past Friday. In week 3, the Patriots traveled over to Marshall County (2-2) and fell short 21-42.

This will be a district match-up for both of the teams. CPA stands 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the district, and Page is now 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the district.

Class AA District 12 has had some changes throughout the years. This year, Fairview opted out and transferred to District 11 for a better fit. Neighboring Spring Hill is also in District 12, and Summit moved up a class to Class AAA District 11 to join teams, such as Ravenwood, Brentwood, and Centennial. CPA moved from District 10 to District 11 this year, after finishing with a 13-1 season in 2012.

Fourth-year quarterback for Page, Zak Mizell threw for two TD’s and 304 yards against Marshall County and will continue to be an influence for the Patriots throughout the season.

Last game, CPA was up 42-0 before Maplewood was ever able to get into the end zone.
Both teams have tremendously talented players on the field and have a good match-up this Friday night. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
