A week after an unexpected upset over local powerhouse Brentwood High School, the 1-0 CPA Lions will make their first road trip of the season Friday night, facing Hillwood High School at 7 p.m.

In Week 0, CPA defeated the Bruins in dramatic fashion at home, winning 17-14 on a J.R. Osborn 36-yard field goal with 1:07 left to play.

The Bruins dominated in time of possession in that game, keeping the ball away from CPA for over 31 minutes; however, CPA scored two touchdowns early and prevented Brentwood from taking the lead.

Offensively, the Lions will once again look to Zach Weatherly for solid production in the passing game. Weatherly was 8-for-12 for 137 yards, one touchdown and an interception against Brentwood.

In the running game, CPA will split the reps between three primary backs: Chance Meier, Max Pressley and Jay Hockaday. The three combined for 81 yards on 17 attempts.

Hillwood lost its season opener 54-7 at East Nashville Magnet, giving up 195 rushing yards and 355 total yards against the Eagles.
