On the ladies side of the tournament, CPA was the sole local representative at the Class A/AA state championships. As a team, the Lions would finish second, 2 strokes off the 28 over par score of champion Christian Academy of Knoxville. CPA led after the first day of the tournament, but a good day 2 from the Warriors gave them the crown.

Individually, CPA’s Siarra Stout won her second consecutive state championship. Stout finished 9 over par, 2 strokes ahead of CAK’s Emma Wasson. CPA also had an individual top 10 finisher in Sara Grace Black, who finished tied for 7th at 12 strokes off the lead. Stout is now looking to repeat her state girl’s golfer of the year award to add to her trophy case.

On the boys side of the tournament, CPA finished sixth as a team. As a team the Lions had a score of 298.

In the individual part, the highest placing finisher for a Williamson County school was Gavin Clements, who shot a +6 with rounds of 75 and 78, which tied him for 11th place.
