County’s 2nd Largest Employer Lays Off Dozens of Workers

Franklin-based Community Health Systems, one of the nation’s leading operators in general acute care hospitals, has laid off dozens of corporate employees, reports Nashville Business Journal.

The Nashville Business Journal reports that layoffs began Monday and include at least 70 jobs in the the company’s information services department and at least one vice president.

With 4,700 local employees, Community Health Systems is ranked by the Nashville Business Journal as the second largest employer in Williamson County and the area’s third largest publicly traded company with more than $18 billion in revenue in 2016.
