County Urges Early Voting; Predicts “Record-Breaking Turnout”

Williamson County election officials are anticipating a potential record-breaking turnout for the Nov. 8, 2016 Presidential Election, according to Chad Gray, Administrator of Elections.

That prediction is why additional locations and extended hours will be available for early voting, which begins Wednesday, Oct. 19, and ends on Thursday, Nov. 3.

“We are pleased to have the addition of The Factory at Franklin and the Williamson County Ag Expo Center as two of our newest early voting sites for this upcoming election,” Gray said in a press release. “We hope that these two additional locations, as well as, our longer hours will make early voting much more convenient for our voters.”

“Our office has been extremely busy as we have registered nearly 9,000 new voter registration forms since the first of August,” Gray said.

The registration deadline was Oct. 11.

The General Election is Nov. 8, including the presidential election, the U.S. House of Representatives, the Tennessee House of Representatives, and municipal elections in Fairview, Nolensville and Thompson’s Station.

Polls are open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your designated Election Day polling place based on your residential address.
