County Chamber Releases All-Star Business Line Up For Outlook 2017

Williamson, Inc. announced the panels for its annual economic summit happening at the Factory in Franklin on the morning of April 11.

Outlook Williamson 2017, the chamber’s yearly economic report and forecast, will be ushered in with two rounds of talks from professionals specializing in areas important to issues likely affecting the county economy in the next year. The morning will have three sessions.

Session 1: Understanding the Site Selection Process

The first session will feature Heidi Smith, general manager for Global Business at TVA Economic Development, and Jamie Stitt, deputy assistant commissioner of business development for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.

Smith and Stitt will talk about how various community and economic development organizations work together to recruit the best companies and bring high-quality jobs to the county.

Session 2: Why Williamson?

Dennis Burnside, president of Juniper CRE Solutions, and Scott Pollock, director of Juniper CRE Solutions, bring decades of experience with them to Outlook Williamson. They will lead participants of Session Two in a hands-on “site-selection” activity, as well as discussing what sets a community apart during the business relocation process. This panel will give guests insight into how Fortune 500 companies, like Nissan, choose where to place their headquarter operations.

Session 3: Commercial Real Estate Developers

Four commercial real estate developers will participate in a panel discussion on the current real estate climate, emerging trends, and the future of office and mixed-use developments in Williamson County.
