Copper Penny Upscale Boutique to Open at CityPark in Brentwood

Charleston-based Copper Penny, an upscale women’s boutique, has announced that it will be opening their 9th location at the new CityPark in Brentwood. This is exciting news for the City of Brentwood, and it’s fashionable residents. People were excited when Nordstrom Rack opened in Brentwood Place. Now with the newest addition being a boutique, shoppers will have even an even greater selection in Brentwood.

The Copper Penny brand is owned and developed by the Vaigneur family of Charleston. The store debuted in Mount Pleasant in 1987. Copper Penny Shooz, a sister store showcasing women’s designer shoe labels, opened on King Street in Charleston in 2003.The new franchising system was released in 2013.

Franchise owners gain access to proprietary management systems and vendors representing top-shelf clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories.

“We teach you the Copper Penny way of doing things,” notes Vaigneur. “That’s what sets us apart from the competition.”

The Copper Penny features designer labels like Diane Von Furstenburg, Trina Turk, Milly, Shoshanna, Tibi, Sam Edelman, Michael Stars, Ella Moss, Jack Rogers, Splendid, Citizens of Humanity, Hudson, Virgins Saints & Angels, Tolani, Rowen and Whitley V. Designs.

Described as an edgy mix of sweet and heat, Copper Penny offers fashion that embraces how clients want to feel and express themselves. Copper Penny has been dressing the ladies of Charleston for over 25 years. The designer collections are curated with a Southern eye and promises to deliver sophistication, and effortless beauty.

The store hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday, hours are 12-6 p.m. Copper Penny will take up space in Building E of CityPark’s 40,000-square-foot retail section, sitting close to the Hilton Garden Inn being built adjacent to the Mooreland historic home.
