Cool Springs Sitting Pretty in Regional Office Market

Part Three of our ‘Progress & Future in Williamson County’ Series

According to the 1st Quarter Report from Williamson County the Cool Springs/Brentwood area is the hottest for office space and may stay that way for the next decade. A study released recently shows that almost two-thirds of the office space absorbed in the middle Tennessee area from 2007 – 2011 was in Brentwood and Franklin.

Randall Gross/Development Economics reported this news after completing their study. With housing and building on the rise, regional headquarters and new business development rising as well the trend appears to be at a maturing state and should be positioned to hold for at least 5 years. Transportation and infrastructure is now a focal point throughout the state to make future growth even smoother, which promotes more business development and housing needs.

The derailing of the Brentwood Towne Center Project shows that many are concerned with the growth and hope for better planning and communication as things develop. Matt Largen is also asking questions about how to better promote our local businesses and to provide the needed IT support for future development. Attractions like mixed use neighborhoods are what bring in the hip or creative crowd. Barry Farms is due to be complete in a few years and Keystone Crossing is another development that may create the need for more office space.

Williamson County is growing and keeping her quality of life as we do is on everyone’s mind. Tell us your thoughts on growth in the community and what you would like to see happen.
