Power Restored in Parts of Cool Springs Area Affected by Earlier Outage

UPDATED: 11/15/2013 12:04 PM — MTEMC is reporting that all outages are resolved.

Earlier this morning, Police in Franklin were urging motorists to treat darkened traffic lights as 4-way stops and expect big delays in parts of Cool Springs as over 500 reports of power outages were received.  It appears a significant portion of Cool Springs was temporarily without power.  At the height of the outage, the outage map from Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation highlighted the troubled area (below).

Problems seem to have been concentrated in an area West of I-65 near Aspen Grove, affecting both sides of Cool Springs Blvd between I-65 and Mack Hatcher, and McEwen Dr from Cool Springs Blvd to I-65. As of 11:24am, MTEMC was reporting 367 outages either confirmed or under investigation.

Additionally, there were 156 outages either confirmed or under investigation in and around the East side of I-65 along Carothers Pkwy between Cool Springs Blvd and perhaps as far North as Bakers Bridge Ave.
