Community Invited Welcome Home Sonshine Concert

Brentwood United Methodist Church, 309 Franklin Rd. invites the community to an evening of music as they welcome home the Sonshine Choir for a homecoming concert on Sunday, July 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.

For the past week almost a 100 high schools students, pastoral staff and leaders have been traveling through Denver, Colorado sharing their message of faith through music. These gifted and talented youth who make up the Sonshine Choir have dedicated hours to learning music that they then share to bless the lives of others.

sing“This week has already been unforgettable. I have been a witness to things both being done through this group of students, and to this group, by Christ and I stand in constant amazement at the power of music to change lives,” shares one of the college leaders on the trip.

Performing at an assisted living facility this post was included on the groups Facebook page, “Our kids were truly the hands and feet of Christ today as they hugged, held hands, laughed and cried with these loving souls.”

“The connection between the young and the old…the appreciation for sharing the love of Christ, stirring the spirit, touching the heart and soul… and for the sincere affection, was just palpable. Thank you Lord Jesus for giving these young adults hearts to serve and connect.”

Beginning the tour at the Nashville Rescue Mission, the group drove for almost twenty-four hours to begin sharing their ministry of music. To learn more about the youth choirs, or to learn more about Brentwood United Methodist Church, click here.
