Community Helps Fairview Family With Fishing Rodeo

If you like to fish, head over to Bowie Nature Park this Saturday, Oct 24th for Fishin’ For Tuition, an event which hopes to promote suicide prevention awareness while also raising tuition for two Fairview boys. Proceeds from the event benefit Matt (15) & Skylar Polston (11), who lost their father.

Matt & Skylar had a very close bond to their father, thanks to their time fishing together. So, it seems only appropriate that they pay homage to their father with a Fishing Rodeo. In addition to fishing,  other activities include live music, silent auction and face painting.

Event Details:

Saturday, October 24th, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Bowie Nature Park, Shelter 1
7:00 – 8:00am, Fishing Rodeo Registration
8:00 – 11:00 am, Fishing Rodeo
11:00 – 2:00 pm, Silent Auction
If you are unable to attend, but wish to make a donation, FirstBank in Fairview is accepting donations or visit the GoFundMe account here.

Organizers are asking for a suggested donation of $10 for Adults and $5 for Kids to participate in the Fishing Rodeo.
