The Williamson County Community Band program will celebrate its 15th season in grand style with a special evening concert at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 at the historic Franklin Theatre, 419 Main Street. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  The dance floor will be open all evening.

The Williamson County Community Band, under the direction of Ken Krause, will present a program of crowd-pleasing classics.  This all-volunteer band is made up of talented amateur and professional musicians of varying ages. The second act will feature 5 Points Swing, led my Matt Jablonka, and they will wrap up the evening’s entertainment with their seasoned musicians and powerful vocalists by re-creating the swingin’ sounds of popular tunes from the Big Band era.  This is a benefit for the band, and it will sell out!

Tickets for the July 7 concert featuring the Williamson County Community Band and 5 Points Swing are available at the Franklin Theatre box office or on-line at www.franklintheatre.com. For this event, balcony seating is $20 and classic seating is $15.

The Williamson County Community Band is sponsored by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department. The band performs one fundraising concert each year, and proceeds from the performance go toward the bands’ expenses.  The band performs free concerts during the spring, summer and fall at Williamson County recreation centers and parks, festivals, civic events, and tributes.
