Columbia State Advances in NJCAA Tourney

Columbia State’s mens basketball team advances in the NJCAA Tournament, defeating San Jacinto College 76-74 in the opening round.

The Chargers rallied from a 5-point deficit at half thanks to quality 3-point shooting from Jamonte Graham and T.J. Cromer. The pair combined to shoot 7-of-13 behind the arc, equaling San Jacinto’s total by themselves. The remainder of Columbia State made 5-of-11.

Graham had a game-high 19 points while Cromer added 15. T.J. Dunans had 16 points, three assists and nine rebounds.

San Jacinto had a chance to send the game to overtime, but a last-second shot did not connect.

Columbia State advances to a second round match up Wednesday against No. 2 seed Northwest Florida.
