CMT Awards Announces Nominations & Location

The CMT Music Awards show has been traditionally held at Bridgestone Arena but with the Nashville Predators success and the uncertainty as to when the playoff games will be held, CMT announced that the show would be moved to the Music City Center for 2017.

Tuesday morning, CMT released the nominees – Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban, and Thomas Rhett received four nominations each.

Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, Lauren Alaina and Luke Bryan were close behind with three nominations each. Artists with first-time CMT Music Awards nominations this year include Brett Young, Chris Young, Jon Pardi, and Midland.

Nashville‘s Charles Esten will host the show premiering live from Nashville on June 7 at 8p. Superstar show performances revealed last week include Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett. Additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.
