Class A/AA Boys Basketball Wrapup – 12/8/15
Grace Christian Lions – In their first year in TSSAA, the Lions have gotten off to a slow start, mostly due to a difficult schedule. The Lions are 1-5 after games against Pickett County, Brentwood Academy, DCA, University School of Nashville, and Nashville Christian. However, GCA opened district play with a 73-60 win over Santa Fe. Before the game, senior Jake Johnson was honored for reaching the 1,000 point club against NCS.
Fairview Yellow Jackets – The Yellow Jackets are 0-6 so far this season, with losses to Cheatham County, Page, Hickman County, Santa Fe, Montgomery Central, and Creek Wood. The Yellow Jackets will look to get on the positive side of the win-loss column this week with games against Nashville Christian, and Page.
Page Patriots – The Patriots have started the season 4-3. Page has victories over Fairview, Hume-Fogg, Hickman County, and BGA. The Patriots’ have fallen this year to Summit, Eagleville, and Centennial. This week, Page hosts Fairview before the Page and Eagleville tournaments.
Spring Hill Raiders – Spring Hill has started off this season at 2-2. The Raiders opened the season with a 70-48 win over Collinwood. The Raiders have dropped their last two to Cheatham County and Oakland. Spring Hill topped Summertown 74-60. The Raiders close this week against Summit.
CPA Lions – The Lions are off to a 2-3 start this season. CPA lost their opening contest to Cane Ridge, before getting their first win over Knoxville Webb 60-53. After losing their next two games to Pope John Paul II and Cornith (MS), the Lions topped Christian Academy of Knoxville 62-51. This week, CPA travels to Jonesboro (AR) and Martin-Westview.More School News
