City of Spring Hill Tries to Get a Chick-fil-A with Promo Video

City of Spring Hill officials released a new promotional video on Monday as a part of a targeted effort to recruit “the most requested chain restaurant” in Spring Hill: Chick-fil-A.

One of the pet projects of Spring Hill Mayor Rick Graham is to bring a Chick-fil-A restaurant to the city, which he described as a perfect market for the fast-food chain because of the high proportion of young families. The city has been working with the restaurant company directly on the matter for about the past six months, Graham said.

Chick-fil-A is looking at opening up eight new restaurants in the Nashville area, and Spring Hill stood at number eight as of about one or two months ago, according to Graham.

“To me it’s kind of like being in a dancing contest,” he said. “They’re going to take the top eight. We’re number eight and there are probably about 10 more behind us. It puts us in the cut zone. That’s why I thought, we just have to keep the momentum, keep pushing that gas pedal, and so we came up with the video thought.”

Graham said the city has already provided Chick-fil-A with the necessary demographics and psychographics to show that Spring Hill would be the perfect community for one of the eight new restaurants. He added that there have already been some positive comments coming back on the video from the company.

The video was put together by City Communications Officer Jamie Page with help from Alderman Kayce Williams and Mayor Rick Graham.
