Traffic Plan in Place This Weekend for Pilgrimage

As Franklin prepares for Pilgrimage Festival 2018 at Harlinsdale Farm on Sept. 22-23, traffic patterns will change throughout the day during the festival.

With over 25,000 visitors to Harlinsdale Farm, Franklin Police Department and Traffic Engineers have released the following traffic plan. City of Franklin will keep festival attendees aware of traffic alerts on Facebook and Twitter. 

9:00 am-2:00 pm Both Days

  • Franklin Rd from Harpeth Industrial Court to Mack Hatcher – Both traffic lanes will be utilized to permit southbound only traffic flow.
  • Franklin Rd from Harpeth Industrial Court to First Avenue – only southbound traffic flow will be permitted while the northbound lane will be reserved for pedestrians, bicycles, and festival shuttle service.
  • Liberty Pike from Franklin Rd to Eddy Lane – No change to the normal traffic pattern.

2:00 pm-8:00 pm Both Days

  • Franklin Rd from Harpeth Industrial Court to Mack Hatcher – Two-way traffic flow will resume from Harpeth Industrial Court to Mack Hatcher.
  • Franklin Rd from Harpeth Industrial Court to First Avenue – only southbound traffic flow will be permitted while the northbound lane will be reserved for pedestrians, bicycles, and festival shuttle service.
  • Liberty Pike from Franklin Rd to Eddy Lane – No change to the normal traffic pattern.

8:00 pm-10:00 pm Both Days

  • Franklin Rd from Harpeth Industrial Court to Mack Hatcher – only northbound traffic flow will be permitted.
  • Franklin Rd from Harpeth Industrial Court to First Avenue – only southbound traffic flow will be permitted while the northbound lane will be reserved for pedestrians, bicycles, and festival shuttle service.
  • Liberty Pike between Eddy Lane and Franklin Rd – only eastbound traffic flow will be permitted with the following exception. A Police Officer at Eddy lane will assist westbound traffic for residents who live in the Everly Apartments, Jamison Station, Old Liberty Pike and Daniels Drive areas. Franklin Rd at Liberty Pike will not be passable.

Franklin Police Officers will direct traffic along these routes and will assist affected residents who need to exit or enter their driveways or streets. Onsite parking for Pilgrimage is sold-out. Downtown Franklin free parking garages located at 2nd and 4th Avenue will be open and available for parking. Visit the City of Franklin website to see an update on available parking spaces.
