City of Franklin Earns Praise from New York Times

The City of Franklin can add The New York Times to a long and growing list of admirers.

The paper featured Franklin in its “Overnighter” column over the weekend and had nothing but overwhelmingly good things to say about our little gem outside of Nashville.

Franklin is a Southern gem hiding in the shadow of Nashville, less than 20 miles north,” writes Christian L. Wright. “Some call it a suburb of Music City — and plenty of farmland has been developed into subdivisions, strip malls and office plazas — but Franklin is a world away, with a history and culture all its own.

Wright begins his profile with a night out at the Cork & Cow in downtown and mentions places like Nissan’s headquarters, some Civil War history and what makes us so unique for a small, but ever growing town.

In April, the town won Garden & Gun’s Greatest Southern Towns.
