City Farmhouse Launches “Must or Bust” Series

Leggett-City Farmhouse

City Farmhouse--a Franklin-based lifestyle brand inspired by modern farmhouse style and urban living–will debut an online monthly design show on April 1 that allows the viewers to interact with featured designers.

Dubbed “Must or Bust”, participants are traveling from all over the country to film new episodes of the show, which will be available on the City Farmhouse website at the first of each month. Each episode will debut fresh “design stars,” who will transform a blank corner of City Farmhouse’s brick-and-mortar store into a unique space worthy of conversation.

When new episodes air, viewers will have a specific window to vote on whether they thought the design was a “must”–meaning they love it–or if they felt that it was more of a “bust.” They will also have the opportunity to offer advice about the design, or ask questions of the designers.

Kim Leggett, owner of City Farmhouse, says that the designers will have the freedom to morph a clean slate into whatever they believe is the best showcase to their talent–whether that includes painting walls, adapting furniture, recreating well-known scenes, finding interesting ways to cast lighting, and more.

“Our guests will all have a unique flair, from outrageous to classic, so it will definitely be a surprise how the room will turn out,” Leggett said. “We’re always open to new ideas and fresh ways to showcase great design, so I’m really excited that ‘Must or Bust’ is becoming a reality.”

Leggett, who says the show was inspired by her 10-year-old granddaughter, came up with the idea as a new idea to engage her fans and give viewers a personal look behind the brand.

Plus, designers will be able to keep their space up at the City Farmhouse store for one week before they have to break it down, allowing shoppers to experience the space in person.

The first designers to take on this challenge will be Nashville’s own Emily Morrissey and Maggie Parker of Fatcat & Magpie. The pilot episode of “Must or Bust,” will launch 8 a.m. on April 1st at City Farmhouse website. s
