City Farmhouse Gives Shoppers A Second Chance

City Farmhouse

More than five thousand shoppers–some as far as Australia, others coming from California, New York and everywhere in between–flooded Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. Oct 16 & 17 to attend the City Farmhouse Pop-Up Fair, a picker’s paradise that showcased antiques and vintage wares by 70-plus vendors from 22 states.

Kim and David Leggett–owners of the popular downtown Franklin shop, City Farmhouse–hosted pop-up attendees as the crowd enjoyed live music, interactive demonstrations by industry celebrities and an array of local food trucks, in addition to booths filled with handpicked goods from each curated dealer.

“There’s a special kind of magic that happens at these City Farmhouse Pop-up Fairs. You can almost feel the energy as you approach and everyone is filled with anticipation about the treasures that await. Kim and David Leggett never disappoint and each year the show gets better and better,” said Cindy Laverty, a Franklin resident and blogger at Discovering Franklin. “Probably because the vendors create the most delightful booths and each one offers a new discovery. This year’s show was practically perfect in every way.”

Those who missed the opportunity to enjoy the October show need not worry: the Leggetts have coordinated a City Farmhouse Holiday Pop-up Fair next month for shoppers looking to score one-of-a-kind gifts, seasonal decor and the most unusual items to add vintage charm to the home.

The timely Holiday Pop-up Fair will take place November 13th through November 15th, at Jameson Hall at The Factory at Franklin.

The Leggetts say that though vendors will place their usual emphasis on creativity and styling to inspire shoppers, they will also pay special attention to stocking booths with the holiday season in mind.

November’s market will feature several favorite vintage and antique vendors from past City Farmhouse Pop-up Fairs–like The Feathered Nest from Illinois, The French Market from Alabama, and La Casita Home Decor from Florida. Other preferred past pop-up vendors include House of Belonging from Tennessee–who sells unique, hand-drawn signs–and French Laundry from North Carolina, who sells vintage grain sacks and linens.

The seasonal City Farmhouse event will also offer a range of timely gift items for shoppers, including upcycled clothing, handcrafted jewelry, handmade art, and repurposed pieces. Plus, some vendors will sell fresh holiday greens, garlands and wreaths.

As always, City Farmhouse guests can expect to find their treasures while browsing alongside local celebrities and personalities who are also fans of the Leggetts’ work.

The Holiday Pop-up Fair kicks off with an early-buying event on Friday, Nov. 13, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The $40 ticket gives shoppers four hours and a first-chance at buying at the show, plus complimentary wine and beer. Tickets can be purchased through the website at www.cityfarmhousefranklin.com.

General admission is on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. General admission is $10.00 per day. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.

The Leggetts will continue to reveal guest appearances and schedules of events on the City Farmhouse website www.cityfarmhousefranklin.com. Those interested in staying current with the latest can also sign up for the City Farmhouse newsletter, and access the brand’s Facebook page.
