Brentwood Police Offer Free R.A.D. Training in June

The Brentwood Police Department offers as a free community service the R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) Program beginning on Tuesday, June 5 at the Brentwood Safety Center East located at 1300 Sunset Road. The class will meet each Tuesday and Thursday until June 14th. R.A.D. is the largest and fastest growing women’s only self-defense program in the United States and Canada. It’s an international alliance of thousands of instructors united in offering practical options for responding to increasing acts of violence against women.

Details of the Class 

  •  12-hour basic self-defense course
  •  Taught in four — three-hour sessions
  • Offered for women 13 years of age and up
  • A “go at your own pace” program designed for virtually all fitness and skill levels
