The Citizens for Brentwood Green Space is pleased to announce that Board Member Ed Stanworth has been appointed to the City of Brentwood’s Park Board during this week’s City Commission Meeting.
Stanworth stated, “As Brentwood grows, parks and green spaces are essential to our community. My involvement with Bike Walk Brentwood has provided valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing these amenities, preparing me to be an effective board member.”
President Gil Hutchinson noted, “Ed has dedicated eight years to Bike/Walk Brentwood, leading trail design, fundraising, and construction. He coordinated volunteer workdays, partnered with SORBA for maintenance, hosted the 2025 Commissioner Forum, and teaches Sunday School. His commitment to our community will be a valuable asset to the Board.”
The Park Board consists of 9 members, one City Commissioner and eight Board appointees. It approves Special Event applications, advises on park policies, and helps with planning and construction in Brentwood Parks. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Annex Room.
