“Being selected is such an honor,” said Cassie. “My choir teacher, Mr. Myrick, brought this opportunity to my attention. Since, I have looked more into it and I am so excited to be a part of such a prestigious event.”

Cassie will be one of 670 students who will rehearse and perform in the 2015 All-National Honor Ensembles.

“What makes Cassie unique among performers is that rare combination of humility and class, with a healthy confidence in a skill about which she is very passionate and unashamed,” said CHS Choir Director Jeff Myrick. “That, combined with an admirable work ethic, makes a performing career realistic for her. We couldn’t be more thankful she made the all-national honor choir. She absolutely earned it.”

The program will be held in coordination with the 2015 NAfME National In-Service Conference held in Nashville, TN, October 25-28.

The All-National Honor Choir ensembles will perform at the Grand Ole Opry House on Wednesday, October 28 starting at 10:00 a.m.

“It’s so weird to me because I have lived in Nashville for so long and been a singer for so long, but I have never even thought of performing on that stage,” said Cassie. “Who wouldn’t be looking forward to performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage? It’s so awesome to be able to enjoy such a great piece of American music history.”
