Chris Stapleton hit the red carpet with his two eldest children for the Toy Story 4 premiere last week.
You won’t see Stapleton in the movie but you will definitely recognize his voice when you hear the song “The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy.”
“To me what has made the Toy Story films hold up over time has been the strength of the stories and the songs and the writing and the characters. There’s something for people of all ages to enjoy in the world that is Toy Story,” Stapleton told Consequence of Sound. “It’s a tremendous honor to get to sing a Randy Newman song in what is without question one of the most iconic animated franchises in history.”
The country music star never shares photos of his children on social media but he chose to bring Ada and Waylon along for the red carpet event. I’m sure the two eldest Stapleton children went home to share their once-in-a-lifetime experience with their three other siblings, the youngest was just born in May.
Toy Story 4 hits theaters nationwide on June 21 with the soundtrack also available on the same day.
It seems that’s not all Stapleton has been recording, Ed Sheeran just released on Instagram a listing of his next album “No. 6 Collaborations Project,” the 15 song album releases in July with one track Blow featuring Stapleton and Bruno Mars.
