Williamson County residents have a new restaurant to visit as Cheddar’s announced the opening of Cheddar’s at 1654 Westgate Circle, Brentwood, Tennessee scheduled to open on Monday, December 7th at 11 am.
Cheddar’s is an upscale casual restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, with a classic menu that offers items like ribs, grilled salmon, chicken tenders, country style fried chicken, salads and sandwiches just to name a few. Cheddar’s is also featuring a “Lighter Side” menu with all items containing 600 calories or less. The original Cheddar’s was opened in 1979 by two friends in Arlington, Texas. It was intended to be a relaxed place, where friends and neighbors could drop by for real, good food, and feel really good about doing so. Aubrey Good and Doug Rogers believed in their vision of value, comfort, and hospitality they embedded in the DNA of Cheddar’s, would by “word of mouth” bring guests back again and again.

In 2012, Cheddar’s swept the prestigious Zagat ratings for full-service restaurants, ranking first overall and dominating the categories of cuisine, food, décor, and facilities.
In 2012, as they had done in 2009, Consumer Reports readers voted Cheddar’s their number one choice for casual dining.
In 2014, According to a Nation’s Restaurant News poll, Cheddar’s lead the way in casual-dining performance and was rated the #1 restaurant for value.
In 2015, Cheddar’s won the prestigious Technomic Consumer Choice “Intent to Recommend” award.
Cheddar’s has a nearly 6,000 square foot scratch kitchen with homemade favorites like Chicken Pot Pie and Honey Barbeque Baby Back Ribs.
The new Cheddar’s in Brentwood is owned and operated by Greer Companies, a family-owned, hospitality and commercial real estate development company headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky.
Greer Companies is a franchisee of casual dining and hospitality chains including Cheddar’s, Marriott, Hilton and InterContinental Hotels Group and employs over 7,000 people in eight states. The company’s franchise operating entity, Mint Julep Restaurant Group, owns and operates 43 Cheddar’s restaurants in Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The Brentwood Cheddar’s will be its 44th.
