Keith Urban will headline Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville (#NashvilleNYE) for a second year in a row. Urban will lead a diverse lineup that includes CMA New Artist of the Year Maren Morris, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Cheap Trick 2017 country music breakout artist Carly Pearce, R&B artist Jonny P and the Fisk Jubilee Singers. The event at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, 600 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville is free and open to the public.

British Airways will usher in 2018 – the year it inaugurates nonstop service between Music City and London – with a 6:00 pm CST/Midnight U.K. time countdown led by Nashville Mayor Megan Barry and English rocker Peter Frampton. British Airways will also partner with the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp to host a pop-up English pub for all guests at the famed New Year’s Eve celebration, to be held at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park on Sunday, Dec 31.
The British New Year countdown will kick-off Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville. Legendary English rock musician and guitarist Frampton, a longstanding Nashville resident, will join Mayor Barry on the Jack Daniel’s Stage to raise the “Music Note,” toast to friends in the U.K. and kick off the fireworks. The cozy, pop-up British Airways pub will be open throughout the festivities, complete with British spirits, memorabilia and a commemorative photo booth and green screen to transport guests to London through several classic backdrops. Visitors can also enter to win a pair of tickets for travel on the airline’s new service from Nashville to London, which first takes off from Nashville International Airport on May 4, 2018.
“Our new service to Music City is a highlight for British Airways in 2018 and we invite the Nashville community to join us on New Year’s Eve to ring in this exciting year – London style,” said, Rob McDonald, of British Airways. “In addition to bringing together Peter Frampton and Mayor Barry, who are connected with both cities, we will share a British pub experience and hope all will come by and raise a glass to the special new link between Nashville and London.”
The British Airways Pub will be located at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park at Sixth Avenue and will be open to the public beginning at 4:00 p.m. and throughout the night.
Beginning May 2018, British Airways will fly nonstop from Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Heathrow Airport (LHR) five days a week on a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. This is the only nonstop service between the two cities, and travelers will be able to connect to more than 130 destinations via Heathrow.
Gates will open at 4 p.m. on Dec. 31, and the raising of the Music Note will take place at 6:15 p.m. with the concert to follow. The event will include the traditional Music Note Drop and accompanying fireworks display to ring in the New Year against the backdrop of the iconic State Capitol building and unique view of the Nashville skyline. Storme Warren and Kelly Sutton will serve as emcees.
Nashville is scheduled to be a featured location as part of CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.”
