Young golfers of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend The Charley Foundation Junior Clinic May 20 (Sunday) taking place at Cheekwood Golf Club in Franklin, Tenn. This will be the inaugural junior clinic for the Nashville Golf Open benefitting the Snedeker Foundation.
The Charley Foundation Junior Clinic will be conducted by Tennessee PGA club Professionals and is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. No advance registration is required and the clinic is free to all participants. Cheekwood Golf Club is located at 285 Spencer Creek Road in Franklin.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Charley Foundation for the NGO’s first junior clinic,” said Charlie Clarkson, Tournament Director for the Nashville Golf Open. “Junior clinics are extremely popular at many PGA TOUR events and we know this one will be a huge success due to the popularity of Junior Golf throughout Middle Tennessee. We are also proud to provide area children in need with access to the game thanks to The Charley Foundation, and we’re grateful to the golf professionals for their willingness to share their teaching skills with all the participants.”
In addition to the PGA Professionals conducting the clinic, the likelihood is strong (but not guaranteed) that several Web.com Tour players who will compete in the NGO will also be present although specific names are not known at this time due to their travel schedules.

About the Nashville Golf Open benefitting the Snedeker Foundation (NGO)
The NGO will be held May 24-27 at the Nashville Golf & Athletic Club. The 2018 event is the third of five-year contract between the PGA TOUR and the Brentwood based Tour Visions Promotions for the Nashville Golf Open. On May 3, 2017 the Web.com Tour and Tour Vision Promotions announced that the Snedeker Foundation, founded by PGA TOUR star and Nashville native Brandt Snedeker, will be the official charitable beneficiary of the Nashville Golf Open. The NGO is one of three PGA TOUR-sanctioned event to be contested annually in Tennessee, joining the TOUR’s FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis and the Web.com Tour’s News-Sentinel Open presented by Pilot in Knoxville.
Nashville Golf & Athletic Club is a 1971 Bruce Devlin / Robert von Hagge design that has been owned and operated by the Whittemore family for over 35 years. The course has served as host venue for the Tennessee State Open on a number of occasions and hosted the 2016 Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship.

Founded in 2012, the Snedeker Foundation has raised in excess of $1 million for several different charities across Middle Tennessee.
