nashville golf open 2019

Nationally-syndicated radio personality Shawn Parr is bringing a couple of his close friends, country music star Scotty McCreery and singer and former Nashville star Charles Esten, to the Web.com Tour’s Nashville Golf Open in May. One lucky person will be able to join this star-studded group.

“I’ve lived in Williamson County for more than five years and have been looking for a great event that I could become a part of,” said Parr, host of Cumulus Media’s NASH Nights Live. “Working with the Nashville Golf Open combines a couple of my passions: golf and raising money for the T.J. Martel Foundation.”

Parr, who serves on the Nashville board of directors for T.J. Martel Foundation, has partnered with the golf tournament on three fundraisers.

Golfers and fans can click here to bid on a chance to fill out the foursome with Parr, McCreery and Esten during the Nashville Golf Open on Wednesday, May 1. In addition to playing in the event, the winner will get a three-night stay at the new Hilton Franklin/Cool Springs, an exclusive “behind-the-scenes” visit to the Cumulus radio studios in Nashville, a practice round with Parr at Vanderbilt Legends Club, a $500 gift card for use in the pro-am shopping experience and a $100 gift card to Granite City Restaurant.

While playing in the pro-am, McCreery and Esten will be playing a match against each other with fans making donations online. They will be actively tweeting and posting on their social channels throughout the match. Click here to donate.

Finally, Parr is asking fans to “Pledge It For Parr” by pledging to donate for every par made on the 18th hole during the final round on Sunday, May 5. In 2018, 44 pars were made on the final hole. Click here to make a pledge.

“We are thrilled to have Shawn step up and become an important part of our event,” said Charlie Clarkson, Tournament Director. “It’s just another indication of how our tournament has become deeply ingrained into the community. We look forward to everyone having a great time and hope we raise significant funds for T.J. Martel Foundation.”

Parr will also be visible at other tournament-related activities. On Tuesday, April 30, he will be the announcer for the FCA Pro Junior Shootout and on Sunday, May 5, he will serve as the emcee for the trophy presentation at the conclusion of play. In addition to co-hosting NASH Nights Live, which is heard nightly on hundreds of stations across the country, he also serves as the voice of Dick Clark Productions.
