Center for Workforce Development Offers EMT Refresher Course

The Center for Workforce Development is offering an EMT Refresher course at Columbia State Community College’s Columbia Campus March 15 – 17

The course will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The 24-hour refresher course provides participants with a review and update on the care and treatment of medical trauma emergencies.

Participants completing this course will meet the refresher requirements for re-certification with the National Registry. Completion also provides EMTs who are not currently registered with the opportunity to meet the requirements to take the EMT National Registry written and practical exams.

The cost for this course is $175 and includes 2.4 continuing education units. Registration closes March 11, so register now. Limited seats are available.

The class will meet in Room 122 of the Waymon L. Hickman Building on the Columbia Campus, located at 1665 Hampshire Pike. Students should bring an EMT manual to class.
