Sanders Spectacular in Centennial Win

Running back Deon Sanders scored three touchdowns and carried the ball 25 times for 172 yards as Centennial won its fourth straight game, defeating Mt. Juliet 38-24.

Centennial (4-2) took the lead early in the first quarter and never looked back, breaking away in the second and third quarters with 17 unanswered points to make it 31-10.

Mt. Juliet (3-3) scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to narrow Centennials’ lead to 7, but Sanders scored on a 2-yard run to put the game out of reach for the Golden Bears.

Quarterback Owen Roth completed 10 of his 13 passes for 156 yards and a 44-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Hall. Hall finished the night with five catches for 113 yards. Brandon Roth carried the ball eight times for 95 yards and a touchdown. Nick Madonia had a 39-yard field goal.

Centennial will host Ravenwood Friday night at 7 p.m.
