Today the staff and students at Centennial High School are back to the normal daily grind. Today begins the recovery from Friday’s shocking news of the arrest of Coach Darren Henrie. He was charged with three counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, released on bond and scheduled to be in court September 10, 2012 at 9 A.M.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call WCSD Investigations Division at 790-5554.

“Mr. Henrie has been suspended without pay. The school district is fully cooperating with law enforcement and the district attorney’s office as they continue their investigation,” said Carol Birdsong WCS Communication Director. The charges Henrie is indicted for were from 2007-2009 before he moved to Centennial High. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office states the investigation is ongoing and that no further information is available at this time.

Centennial Principal Frank Brown has been instructed not to comment on the matter, but was available to the Williamson Source immediately upon contact. Today he is focused on providing the best possible education and environment at Centennial. Centennial is a fine school as are all of the institutions in Williamson County. Show your support this week by contacting your student’s teachers and thanking them for all of their hard work. Involvement is the key to success for our children and the future.
