A Vintage Affair

Williamson County’s premier wine event, A Vintage Affair, celebrates 16 years of giving to area nonprofits benefiting women and children.

The event, which features three weekend wine events, will be held Wednesday through Friday, April 13-15.

AVA kicks off with a Meet the Vintner dinner at Sperry’ Restaurant in Cool Springs. Vintners for the evening’s event include: Luis Robledo, Robledo Family Winery, Sonoma Valley; Dan Cederquist, partner and winemaker, Cederquist Wine Company, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County; and Todd Anderson, Anderson’s Conn Valley Vineyards, St. Helena. All wineries are located in California.

This intimate event features a five-course meal, with hand-selected wine pairings. The evening begins with a cocktail reception featuring sparkling wine and hors d’oeuvres. Dinner service begins at 7 p.m. Attendees will not only taste exclusive wine selections, but will also have the opportunity to meet the vintners and hear first-hand about the varietals. Cost to attend the dinner is $250 per person.

The following night AVA Goes Country features local sweethearts and traditional country music performers Jo-el and LeAnne Ulmer of 2 Country 4 Nashville at Green’s Grocery in Leiper’s Fork. This evening is characterized as all things country – food, wine, beer, and live music. Robledo Winery is providing the wine with Tazikis Catering providing dinner. Cost to attend is $50 per person.

The Main Event will be held Friday, April 15 at the Factory at Franklin in Liberty Hall. This event begins with a VIP pre-party at 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. The evening features a silent auction, wine auction, live auction, as well as a variety food, wine, and bourbon tastings.

Funds raised from this year’s AVA events will benefit Adult Learning Center, Bridges of Williamson County, The Davis House, Franklin Firefighters Charities, High Hopes, My Friends House and Williamson Medical Center.
