The Predators celebrated centerman Mike Fisher’s 1000 NHL game on Monday night at Bridgestone Arena before beating the Kings.

Carrie Underwood, his wife, and their son Isaiah, were by his side before game-time as they watched a retrospective of his 17-year career on the jumbo screen.

In between play during the 5-2 win against the Kings, the team played congratulations from other singers and players, including Underwood, Bono, Vince Gill and Brad Paisley.

“I’m so proud for you . . .  Nashville is so lucky to have you. You’re a great guy and you do such great work as a hockey player and even more impressive is who you are as a person. And there is also a special place in heaven for you for putting up with that wife of yours,” Brad Paisley said in the video.

Underwood was also interviewed after the game, from NHL.com/Predators.

In the ceremony Fisher was given a the customary silver stick,  a framed photo collage of his career along with a Tiffany crystal from the NHL. The Predators Foundation donated $5,000 to Room In The Inn, a homeless outreach charity Fisher supports.

Fisher actually hit the 1000-game mark three weeks ago. He is in his sixth season with the Predators, coming to Nashville after spending his first 11 seasons with Ottawa.

Fisher is the 301st player in NHL history to make it to 1000 games, and one of only 20 who are still active. All-time great Gordie Howe holds the all-time games record. He played 1,767 games in 26 seasons. The active leader is Jaromir Jagr (he is still playing?!?), who is at 1,615, ninth place all-time.
