Goodwill Career Solutions experienced record-breaking job placement last year. The numbers are in! And they placed 5,615 people in jobs in 2013, up from 3,154 in 2012.

From January to June, Goodwill Career Solutions placed an average of 340 people into jobs each month. From July to December, that number increased to an average of 600 each month.

Goodwill accredits this growth to the increase in job fairs hosted by the Career Solutions centers for their 1,300 area employers. The number of job fairs more than doubled in the second part of last year. To view upcoming job fairs, click HERE.

Goodwill Career Solutions provides one-on-one job training and placement services to people who need help looking for, finding and keeping a job. Goodwill has 25 Career Solutions centers, three in the Williamson County area:
595 Hillsboro Rd, Ste 301 in Franklin, 1008 Nasdaq St in Spring Hill & 6808 Nolensville Pike in Brentwood

These centers are staffed with a career counselor who works one-on-one with clients to help them meet their individual career goals. Career counselors also provide assistance with job searches, job applications, resumes and interviewing skills.

Goodwill Career Solutions offers several certification and training courses for adults as well, including: Call Center Training, Health Care Initiatives & Training, Document Imaging Training, Custodial Certification, Retail & Customer Service Certification, Forklift Certification and Security Guard Certification. Career Solutions also offer six computer programs: Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Course, Internet and Computing Core Certification Class (IC3), 3-Day Intro to MS Office, Digital Literacy Computer Basics, Digital Literacy Resume Writing, and Digital Literacy Online Job Search.

Nearly all of the services offered through Career Solutions are free, thanks to Goodwill’s generous donors and shoppers.

When you donate to Goodwill, those items are then placed in their retail stores, and the revenue from the sale of those items funds Goodwill’s mission of providing employment and training opportunities for people who have disabilities and others who have trouble finding and keeping jobs.
