We’re just a few days away from 2016 and The Franklin Theatre is ready to send off 2015 in style!
On Thursday, December 31st, the Franklin Theatre continues its annual New Year’s Eve tradition with the Cab Calloway Orchestra.
The Cab Calloway Orchestra first found fame at the Cotton Club and continues to astound audiences at Birdland as well as other venues across the country. Led by Cab’s grandson, C. Calloway Brooks, the Calloway family has been dazzling audiences since the 1920s and this year is no exception. Calloway Brooks, along with the Cab Calloway Orchestra deliver both the authentic sound of a hot jazz orchestra and a snazzy jump, blues and boogie experience of a swing that is king and a jive that’s alive!
Best of all- you have two opportunities to see The Cab Calloway Orchestra:
The first show will be a seated concert from 6pm to 7:30pm with a mock countdown.
The second performance of the evening will bring the removal of cabaret tables and chairs, allowing for a dance party from 9:30pm- 12:15am. Complimentary party favors and a champagne toast will be provided for this performance.
