BrightStone Uses Social Media to Reach Martina McBride

Franklin non-profit BrightStone provides comprehensive work, social support, and future residential community for adults with special needs.

Looking ahead to their upcoming Songwriter’s night to be held in April,a group of students got together to make a video asking Martina McBride to perform at their fundraiser event and posted it on BrightStone’s Facebook. So far the post has been viewed over 20,000 times. Click on photo above to watch video.

“We have gotten such great exposure through our ‪#‎martina4brightstone‬ campaign and so many people have heard about us for the first time which is wonderful! The calls, emails and Facebook messages of people who saw the news segment and are now interested in our program is a reminder of the great need we have in our community. We did want to correct one thing from the news story and that is students do not attend for free. There is a greatly discounted tuition and there are scholarships but it is a private pay, tuition based program. If you would like to support the scholarship fund, please visit our website by following the link below. To request information about the program and enrolling, please email [email protected] with your name, address and a little bit about your student. Thank you and please keep sharing about BrightStone!”  Give Now.

No word from Martina McBride yet. News Channel 2 confirmed that her management did in fact see the message.  McBride does have a couple of concerts scheduled in April. If we receive any updates,we will be sure to pass those along.
