Local Baseball Players Drafted By Mets and Yankees

All of Dale Burdick’s handwork has been paying off. The Slugger from Summit High School, spent last summer in Syracuse, New York at the East Coast Professional Showcase. A camp for only the country’s elite high school baseball players.

There he played for the Chicago Cubs’ team but apparently impressed the scouts of the New York organization.

The 6’0″ 175 pound righty, was drafted in the 40th round of the MLB draft today.

Will Gaddis has signed to play baseball with Furman University but he will now have to choose whether to do that or play professionally as the Yankees have selected the Brentwood Bruins’ standout pitcher in the 36th round.
