Brentwood quarterback Carson Shacklett threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns, as the Bruins routed Marshall County, 49-7, on Friday.
Brentwood built a 42-7 lead over the Tigers (6-3) barely four minutes into the third quarter when Shacklett hit Chayce Bishop with a 41-yard scoring strike.
A 9-yard Scott Sanders run with 6:21 remaining gave Brentwood another touchdown.
Brentwood running back Jordan Nicholas scored on a 20-yard run just 79 seconds into the game. Backfield mate Carter McKechnie added a 16-yard touchdown run 3:59 later.
Then, Carson Shacklett hit Avery Williams for a 20-yard score, the missed point-after keeping the margin at 20.
Receiver Grant Yocam added a 50-yard touchdown run for Brentwood, and Shacklett hit Parker Bullion with an 80-yard touchdown in the half’s final minute, as the Bruins’ lead at the break stood at 35-7.
McKechnie had rushing with 50 yards on eight carries, while Nicholas (10-60) led the team in that category.
Henry Glenn had a second-half interception for Brentwood.
The Bruins amassed 491 yards to Marshall County’s 240.
Brentwood finishes its regular season at Centennial next week.
