The Brentwood Police Department (BPD) has asked motorists to have a plan in advance for today’s eclipse:
Please do not stop or block traffic lanes or park on the shoulder of the roadway. Doing so will be hazardous for you and other motorists.
The city has designated viewing areas at the Brentwood Library, Granny White Park and Powell Park. If you can’t make it to one of the viewing locations find a safe alternative.
BPD, THP and TDOT have additional resources on duty and will be closely monitoring traffic. Enjoy the eclipse and help us keep everyone safe.
