Brentwood Police Investigate Attempted Robbery and Shooting

Brentwood Mapco Robbery

The Brentwood Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery and shooting that occurred at the Mapco convenience store located at 158 Franklin Road. The incident was reported at approximately 9:30 PM on Sunday, November 18th.

A male suspect armed with a handgun attempted to rob the clerk at gunpoint. During the course of the attempted robbery the suspect shot the victim one time in the torso.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing faded/torn jeans, a black hooded jacket over a white shirt and tennis shoes. The suspect had the jacket hood pulled over his head and was wearing white gloves and a white full face mask. The suspect, who was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, was last seen on foot running north from the business.
