Brentwood Man Indicted, 15 Juveniles Charged in Connection to Teen’s Death

Brentwood Police have completed the investigation into the Sunday, October 7, 2018 death of a 16-year-old at 9026 Old Smyrna Road. The findings of the investigation were presented to the Williamson County Grand Jury on Monday, January 14th. As a result, the Grand Jury returned indictments charging Mr. Casey Shacklett, (48) with 16 counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Shacklett turned himself in earlier today at the Brentwood Police Department where he was booked. He was later transported to the Williamson County Jail where he posted a $1,500 bond and was released.

Brentwood Police have additionally obtained juvenile petitions charging fifteen (15) juveniles who were present at the time of the incident with Possession of Alcohol Underage.

Additional information regarding the findings of the investigation will not be released at this time.

  1. Why would you create a headline that infers these people were charged with this kid’s death? All parties went through a tragedy, and now they are cast in a murderous light. This is why the public hates the media.

  3. The Parents of the boys don’t think so. We are supporting Casey. No charges from Lucas’ parents. Maybe just a bad situation and they need to find a scapegoat. What does this accomplish?
