Brentwood High Graduate Named AP State Scholar

From WCS InFocus

Brentwood High alumna Namrah Ajmal is one of only two AP State Scholars in Tennessee.

In order to be recognized as an AP State Scholar, a student must score a three or higher on the greatest number of AP exams. The student must also have the highest average score on all AP exams taken. Only one male and female student is selected from each state.

This is the latest academic achievement on Namrah’s impressive record. In addition to being an AP State Scholar, Namrah was also the valedictorian of her class; a National Merit Finalist; and she earned two perfect ACT composites and a perfect SAT composite score. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, the forensics team, science olympiad and Mu Alpha Theta. Currently, Namrah is a freshman at Vanderbilt University.

“Namrah is obviously a terrific student and committed to doing her best and helping others,” said BHS Principal Kevin Keidel. “We are very excited for her to add this honor to her long list of accomplishments.”
