Brentwood Contributes Cash to Schools and Recreation

The City of Brentwood gave contributions totaling $216,600 to eleven Williamson County Schools at its normal commission meeting on Monday, making this the 29th consecutive year that the city has made a sizable contribution to schools.

Each of the high schools received $60,000 in funding, two of the middle schools received $15,000 each, and the elementary schools were given $10,000 each. Sunset Middle received a $6,600 contribution – an amount based on the percentage of students who live within the city limits of Brentwood.

Schools that received funding included Brentwood High, Scales Elementary, Libscomb Elementary, Sunset Elementary, Brentwood Middle, Sunset Middle School, Crockett Elementary, Woodland Middle School, Edmondson Elementary, Kenrose Elementary.

The city also gave out a total of $87,000 to four different recreational outlets in Brentwood. Those recreational facilities included The Brentwood Blaze, Brentwood Civitan Club, FiftyFoward Martin Center, and the YMCA.
